California Dreamin'

It wasn't my day to walk Kate to the bus but that doesn't stop me from just checking in to make sure that she is on track to leave the house at 7:20 to get to the bus. Frankly if I have to walk her to the bus stop then I'd rather just keep on going, ride the bus with her and then go on to work from her school. So, this morning I sauntered into her room to make sure that her phone is charged, her teeth brushed, you know the usual. "What are you doing, sweetie? Are you going to be ready to leave when your Dad calls?"
